Obituary of Rita M. Lee

Rita M. Lee Rita "Rie" M. (Davis) Lee ,82, of North Chatham passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at St Peter's Hospice surrounded by her family. Rie's career began with New York State, where she worked for SUNY and several other departments, prior to retirement. She was a member of the screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, as well as a familiar area actress, appearing on stages of many local theater companies, including The Ghent Playhouse, Albany Civic Theater, Schenectady Civic Theater and Curtain Call Theater. In addition to acting, Rie also loved attending plays, going to movies, nightly games of TV's Jeopardy, enjoying time with friends , family and her beloved pups. Predeceased by her husband Jack E. Lee and son, David S. Lee. She leaves behind her daughters: Cathy Lee-visscher, Sharon Colloton and Lori E.(Andrew P.) Giglia. two brothers, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to be part of a Mass 10:00 Monday morning at the church of St Mary 163 Columbia Tpk Rensselaer. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In her honor the family has requested that donations be made to St. Peters 310 So. Manning Blvd Albany 12208 in lieu of flowers.
