Obituary of Daniel J. Alger

Daniel J. Alger 86 of Delmar died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at home. Daniel was born in Albany to the late Ira and Margaret Brower Alger. He was educated in St. Johns in Albany later at Hudson Valley and received his Bachelor's degree from Empire State College. He retired in 1986 a Bldg Construction Manager for NYS OGS Predeceased by wives Kathryn Stott Alger and Edna Moore Alger. Sister Margaret "Peggy" Fuglein, sister in law Essie Anatasio. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Daniel is survived by his son George L. (Ann) "Jud" Sabey , granddaughter Kimberly Dempsey, great grandson Christopher , He is also survived by nieces and nephews whom have been helpful especially Vincent and Anne Perez, and Kelly Wager Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 10:30 am on Thursday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY. Friends may call in the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7. Interment will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery, Contributions may be made to Hudson River Mohawk Humane society. 3 Oakland Ave. Menands, NY
