Clarence L. DeLisle, Jr. 87 of East Greenbush died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at St Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Clarence was born in Albany, the son of the late Clarence and Mary DeLisle. He was an Electrician for Niagara Mohawk
For 37 years. Clarence was also a Navy veteran of the Korean war and A member of North Albany American Legion 1610. In his last days, Pop new that his beloved Red Sox's were 5.5 games up on the Yankees. He was a true Sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping with family and friends, and golfing. Pop was always on the sidelines or in the stands at every sporting event of his children and grandchildren. He was their biggest fan! He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends after they retired. A trip to any casino was always on the itinerary. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Mustard Seed Group and the Niagara Mohawk Pension Club. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years Mary C. DeLisle.
Clarence is survived by his four daughters: Margaret Carroll, Mary Ann (Dan) Cummings, Katherine and (her late husband Will) Monty and Annette (Tom) Francis, and two sons: Dennis (Cindy) DeLisle and Thomas (Debbi) DeLisle. His beloved grandchildren Larry, Amanda, Michael, Liz, Jeff, Samantha, Tyler, Josh, Willie and TJ, and great grandchildren Carter, Brady, Augusten and Emmarie. Also survived by his sister Dolores Tozier, brother Tony DeLisle, sister-in-laws Sister Molly Smith and Doris Smith and his Wingman, Tom Kulzer. Special thanks to his friends and staff at Hawthorne Ridge, especially Krissie, Anne and Angie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service 9:15 AM Friday morning from the Rockefeller funeral home 165 Columbia tpk. Rensselaer and then 10:00am at the Sacred Heart church 3 Catholic way, Castleton, NY where a liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated. Friends may attend his calling hours Thursday evening from 4-7.
Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Contributions may be made in Clarence's name to the Sacred Heart Health Ministry, 3 Catholic Way, Castleton, NY 12033.
