Obituary of Boulos P. Barsoum
Boulos P. Barsoum 84 of Rensselaer died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Albany Medical Center. Boulos was born in Cairo, Egypt. Boulos went to the University of Cairo, College of St. Rose and SUNY Albany earning his master's degrees in Library Science and African American Studies. He was a Senior Librarian for the Albany Public Library and then at NYS Dept Of Corrections. Boulos loved to read and loved to spend time with his family; he adored his grandchildren and they were his life
Predeceased by his 5 brothers and sisters.
Boulos is survived by his wife of 54 years to Samira M. (Rasan) Barsoum , two daughters: Suzette (Scott) Baker and Eva Barsoum, a son: Bahaa (Miriam) Barsoum proud grandfather of Saree, Mia, Caleb, Annabella Barsoum and Jacob and Shane Baker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 4 pm on Sunday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY. Friends may attend his calling hours in the funeral home Sunday from 1-4.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer. The family has requested that those who wish make memorial donations to the American Heart Association 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205.
