Obituary of Frank D. Pirri

Frank D. Pirri (aged 89 and formerly of East Greenbush) died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Seton Memorial in Round Rock, Texas. Frank was born in Albany and was a construction worker with the Laborers' Local 190 union. He had a great passion for the jitterbug and Big Band music, loved to tell a story, and made a mean meatball. Frank loved to garden and was always busy providing for his family or caring for neighbors or serving the Church. He will be sorely missed. Predeceased by his wife, Marguerite Smith Pirri, Frank is survived by his three children and two grandchildren: son, Anthony Pirri, daughter-in-law Traci Pirri, and grandchildren: Madalyn Pirri and Luca Pirri of Round Rock, TX, his son Frank Pirri, Jr. of Latham, NY, and his daughter, Elizabeth Pirri of Canada. Also, he is survived by his eight siblings: Peter Pirri of Pinehurst, NC, Mary Schissler of Schenectady, NY, Carmella Passafiume of Albany, NY, Tina Brunnell of Loudonville, NY, Josephine Roemer of Albany, NY, Sal Pirri of Albany, NY, Dominic Pirri of Albany, NY and Phyliss Muscanell of Guilderland, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects at the Rockefeller funeral home Thursday from 4-7Pm. Additionally, a liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 9:30am at Holy Spirit Church at 667 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, NY. Interment will follow at New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer.
