Obituary of John J. Haberland

John J. Haberland, Jr. 66 of Castleton died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at home. John was born in Albany. He was a Mechanic for Albany MACK for 30 years before retiring in 2016. John was a life member of Clinton Heights Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, wood working and spending time with his family. Predeceased by his brother James "Koko" Haberland. John is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years: Lynda M. (Saul) Haberland , a daughter: Dawn (Thomas) Kennedy of East Greenbush, NY and a son: John J. Haberland III of Castleton, NY; his father John J. and mother Jeanette (Smith) Haberland; four sisters: Janet (Patrick) Mahoney, Judith Teiper, Monica (Gregory) Walsh, and Christina (David) Williams, and six brothers: William Haberland, Daniel Haberland, Timothy Haberland,, Thomas (Donna) Haberland and Francis (Barbara) Haberland. He was the proud grandfather of Sean Kennedy, Jordan and Jared Haberland. He was also survived by 31 nieces and nephews and 43 great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial service at 10:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the Church of St Mary 163 Columbia Tpk, Rensselaer, NY.
