Obituary of William H. Branion

William H. Branion, Jr. 81 of Rensselaer died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St Peter's Hospital. William was born in Woodbridge, NJ the son of the Late William H. and Mildred(Hunt) Branion Sr. Bill served in the US Navy during the Korean war and then went on to become a Sr Engineer for NYS OGS where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1990. Bill was a member of Van Rensselaer Lodge F+AM no 87, member and past district lecturer of the Order of the Eastern Star chapter 256, Cyprus Shriners Noble No 08797, and the Kaa Rheu Vahn GRT 02271. Bill loved hunting fishing and camping and spending time with his family. Predeceased by his brother Raymond (Diane) Branion and brother in law Donald Secor William is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Audrey (Van Deusen) Branion two sons: William H. Branion III and Michael L. (Christine) Branion, a sister: Gail Secor and a brother: Joseph (Marilyn) Branion. Bill is the proud Pop Pop to William, Sam and Madison Branion and great grandfather of Charley Branion. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Rockefeller Funeral home 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer, Friends are invited to his calling hours Monday 4-7 at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer.
