Obituary of Susan J. Bogucki
Susan J. Bogucki 63 of Broadalbin passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. Susan was born in Albany and raised in Colonie. She recently retired from the Golub Corporation. Country music was her passion. She was an avid concert-goer and supported many local and national performers. She was named Country Music Fan of the Year at the North Country Music Awards 3 years running. She loved traveling with her friends to see shows far and wide. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. Susan was also a caring and loyal friend to many people. Once she was your friend, you were a friend for life and she would do anything within her power to help you in times of need. She was the most outgoing person with the biggest heart with an ocean of compassion for others. She was an animal lover, especially of cats and horses. Her home was never without pets. She was a tireless supporter of St Jude's, donating days of her time each year to raise funds for cancer research. Susan also loved photography and spent a lot of time capturing beautiful photographs to remember the people and things important to her. She often gave her photographs to others to share the beauty she saw in the world. Susan also had hobby of making jewelry from beads and guitar picks to show her pride in her favorite artists. She was a collector of Breyer horses and autographs. Most of all, Susan was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and partner, often going out of her way to make sure the people she loved were taken care of. She adored her granddaughter Kailyn and loved to spend time with her, calling her "Grammie's little angel".
She is predeceased by her father Raymond Bogucki.
Susan is survived by her one daughter: Elizabeth Overbaugh; her mother Ruth (Elmore) Bogucki; two sisters: Linda Bogucki and Kathleen Bogucki,; her beloved granddaughter Kailyn Earing and her long time loving companion Christopher Goodman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday 9:00 from Rockefeller Funeral Home 165 Columbia Tpk. Rensselaer and 9:30 at Holy Spirit Church 667 Columbia Tpk., East Greenbush, NY where a liturgy of Christian death and burial will be celebrated. Friends may call in the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7.
Interment will be in St Agnes Cemetery, Albany.
