Obituary of Sherrill J. White

Sherrill J. White, 82, of Rensselaer died suddenly Friday, November 17, 2017 at home. Sherrill was born June 28, 1935 in Albany to the late Harold and Sara Warren. Prior to raising her family, she worked as a Legal Secretary and was a championship Roller Skater. She was a stay at home mom and nothing was more important than her family. She enjoyed family vacations to Cape Cod and Walt Disney World, flea markets and antique shows. In later years she enjoyed annual trips to Yankee Stadium, Las Vegas, watching Yankee games, casinos, shopping and dinner out with family. Her biggest joy was her twin grandsons, Kyle and Connor. She never missed their first day of school and had front row seats to all their baseball and basketball games. Sherrill was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Predeceased by her husband, Walter J. White, and brother, Harold "Mickey" Warren. Sherrill is survived by her two daughters, Valerie White and Jeannine (Daniel) Garab, twin grandsons Kyle and Connor Garab. She is also survived by four nieces and her faithful dog, "Lucky". Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral 11:00 am on Tuesday from Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY. Friends may call in the funeral home Monday from 4-7. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Albany. Contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation, 3 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 where she volunteered and supported all of Jeannine's fundraising events.
