Obituary of Saundra A. Lewis

Saundra A. Lewis, 73, passed peacefully into internal rest on March 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Saundra was born in Malone, NY, and lived the majority of her life in the Capital Region. She spent most of her time as a homemaker but also owned a restaurant in Sand Lake for a number of years. Saundra loved to travel, especially camping with friends and visiting family in CA, OR, and WA. Saundra is survived by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth J. Lewis, Sr.; daughter Saundra ("Sam") Lewis; and son Kenneth Lewis, Jr. She was predeceased by her son Oscar Lewis. Saundra also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jesse Meissner and Tessa & Bethany Lewis; a great-grandson, Christopher Meissner; and a brother, Darrell (Mary) Fountain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Community Hospice. There will be no funeral services. However, the family invites friends and relatives to a "Celebration of Life" for Saundra at the Nassau Sportsmen's Club 370 Boyce Rd. Nassau, NY . The Pot Luck gathering will be on Saturday, March 24, from 12-2 PM.
